Fancy adding a chair from Croker to your living room? GAA set to sell seats as stadium undergoes reconstruction

SPORTING fans now have the opportunity to purchase seating from Croke

Park.

The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) have commenced a €12 million

refurbishment of Croke Park’s Cusack Stand which will include replacing

the seats in the stand and upgrading the conference centre and suites

among other works.

The seats will be available to purchase and are set to go on auction,

according to the Irish Independent ‘A limited edition of 250

reconditioned 'twin' seats from Croke Park's iconic stands are to go on

sale as the stadium undergoes an extensive refurbishment that will see

some 36,000 seats around the lower decks replaced.’

The GAA has commenced a €12M refurbishment of @CrokePark's Cusack

Stand which will include replacing the seats in the stand and

upgrading the conference centre and suites among other works.

The old Cusack was knocked in 1993 after the All-Ireland football final

that year and was re-opened in 1996 as part of the redevelopment of the

whole stadium.

This refurbishment of the stand involves replacing the seats, upgrading

the conference centre, suites, and bathrooms as well as an upgrade to

the heating system to make it more energy efficient.
