I don’t even live in Minnesota. Let’s look at my faves anyway.
Loons and fish are both symbolic to Minnesota (or so I gather from these flag submissions), but what is going on here?
I feel vaguely threatened.
10/10, no notes.
Might as well make it official somewhere.
Let’s make our politics honest for once.
Old and busted: Trees, mountains, and rivers on flags
The new hotness: Power poles on flags
Giving Maryland a run for their money, I see.
This is the Minnesota 25-cent piece. It’s literally just that.
One of these, not sure which, was featured in the article I linked above. What they failed to mention was that it was submitted twice, and probably by different people, since it’s not the exact same image.
The same concept as above, but with actual effort put in, even if writing on a flag is a no-no. I get the feeling this was submitted by some Republican upset about social services existing for people other than themself, so tbh Minnesota should adopt this flag just to spite them.
I couldn’t tell if the Shutterstock logo had been airbrushed off of this submission or not, so I overlaid the two images to try and see, only to then realize that the version on the flag has been *squished vertically*. Why would you do that?
Also? This photo was taken in Canada.
MURICA
I hope this bisexual Minnesotan is proud they got submission number 420.
This was also featured in the article I linked, but I love it. Get fucked, Virginia.
“Do you think Alaska will notice?”
If they pick this one they better get a discount on whatever website that is.
“If it works for them, it’ll work for us.”
