On getting tired of seemingly being the only one...

I occasionally enjoy morphing frustration with others into statements that begin with "I still can't believe I'm apparently the only person who's ever lived who...". It's almost always only for my wife's benefit. And she's almost always not impressed. :-)

A few of the more common ways I end that preface:

can tell the difference between a trash bin and a recyclable bin.
can tell when it's time for someone else in a conversation to speak.
understands that all statements that contain a word indicating a skin color followed immediately by the words 'person' or 'people' are racist for explicitly stating that skin color determines personhood.
is actually ready to leave when stating being ready to leave.
knows better than to lick my fingers before touching something - e.g. money in a cash register - before handing such to someone else.
