If I could save time in a gemlog

Much madness working through a healthcare.org insurance change due to a "qualifying event".

See, once upon a time I set up an account there. And acquired insurance. And it was good.

Then, a job or two later, my wife found someone that could "help" us make another change after another qualifying event.

Well... I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this before, but for the most part I almost always see/hear the word 'help' in double quotes, i.e. "help", and to me its definition goes like this:

"help": *inconvenience* you have to express thanks/gratitude for

See, while that person's "help" satisfied the immediate need, it also led to gobs of confusion down the road.

Why?

Because at some point back then they asked me for my email address, but didn't explain to me that was going to become my heathcare.gov username/userid/login, because I didn't remember that an email address was considered a username/userid/login when I signed up (two years earlier)... so whereas I immediately assumed they were asking for an email address should they need to correspond with me going forward, they wound up creating a new account for me with that email address, so I wound up with two accounts, never received login creds for the second (which I didn't even know existed), and so then *TODAY* while attempting to "help" us again, they were logged in under the one THEY created... but when they had questions about address information in that account, I naturally assumed they were talking about the only account *I* was aware of... so that when I finally changed it THERE in order to make something they were attempting to "help" us with happen, those changes OF COURSE weren't being reflected in what they were looking at... but at that point neither of us realized there were actually two accounts... and it took A REAL (well, "REAL".. <coughs>) person from healthcare.gov to help us realize what had happened, finally allowing this other person's "help" to actually become helpful instead of playing the instigator of biological angst likely knocking two or three years off my life expectancy - all in the service of our "healthcare", mind you....

Do you see roughly what I was getting at in

Dear fellow residents of Babel On

now?

(Yes, as a matter of fact I *AM* remembering writing software professionally as similar info/meaning snafus a la all of the above And So Much More....)
