this is an incomplete and ever-growing collection of resources loosely connected by the thread of 'imagining a better future', specifically a better future for our communities and how said communities use technology, the internet, and organise themselves. some of the links below might go to websites i don't necessarily condone, or that i think do something a bit weird or hypocritical, and you'll just have to use your own judgement there. i've tried to provide paywall-free links to articles where possible, but some might require you to turn off your javascript. the categorisation here isn't perfect, but it's loosely split between written works (short and long form), visual, auditory, and ongoing projects that have some spirit of the matter in them, even if they don't explicitly identify with this strand of thinking. submissions always considered, pop them over to hi@hnr.fyi.
