I once bought radishes for lunch, the first time I'd eaten them in years, and it was a real revelation, I felt like I was eating the park - squatting and sniffing the earth, biting into it and sucking up the little weeds, the mosses. It also reminded me of the smell of dirt from my grandmother's garden. I felt like I was eating real food for the first time in forever.
