I was just thinking the same. Let's see how it looks.
Could help make the Notification History a bit more readable.
For v2.2 I will be grouping notifications by priority/target, so there's the stuff involving you, and then general notifications about other followed things.
One additional group could be for the user's moderated subspaces.
