Finally decided to abandon my #Reddit account. With all the bots, the trolls, the tracking, and the imbeciles, it's more trouble than it's worth, in my opinion. I've replaced it with #Libreddit for now.
How long will this last? I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Reddit died a long time ago. 5 years ago conversations were possible. Now everything is at scale, and moderation is highly politically biased. The entire surface is a shopping mall. It's organic culture has been corporatized and sanitized. Niche subjects may (or may not) be well served, but you have to know what you're looking for.
I doubt a Reddit clone will solve many problems, any more than Mastadon solved the problems of Twitter. I don't feel comfortable on either. · 6 months ago
I found Gemini via Lemmy, an activity pub compatible reddit clone. · 6 months ago
Leaving Reddit is always a good descision. · 6 months ago
What's libreddit? I'd like to give that a try. Yeah, I've given up on most bloat sites and just either use mobile versions of sites I'm still forced to use due to personal reasons OR I'm j on stripped down minimal sites and here on gemspace lol. No use in tryna balance something unbalanceable. Web3 and all it's excess is a joke. · 6 months ago
I've never tried Libreddit out, though I definitely feel you when it comes to Reddit. The Android app won't open links from its own emails because my Pihole blocks the trackers. · 6 months ago
Station doesn't support hashtags at all, does it. Ah, well. · 6 months ago
