Somewhat of an unusual weekend on tap.
My wife will be having a "girls' weekend" with high school friends in roughly the locale in which we lived until January of this year.
As for me, a high school friend will be visiting with the primary goal of our performing in a bar tonight, which should be a blast.
Tomorrow, I'll meander to roughly where the wife will be, where we'll eventually wind up together for a gathering or two with friends still living in our former primary locale.
This morning I refined my Gemini post creation/upload workflow. I'd been maintaining my gemlog in both "newest to oldest" and "oldest to newest" formats, which had some automation bringing me to vim session of two files, adding a link line (representing the latest post) to the top of the one, and the bottom of the other. But it occurred to me those files were essentially the same but for the section listing individual post links, and thus the "oldest to newest" could be derived from the "newest to oldest". So I wrote a Lua script to make that happen prior to the upload (accomplished via sftp leveraging a "batch file").
I mean, honestly, does life ever *really* get any better than parsing?
Anyway, I also added an "about" file since most Geminauts seem to have such. Gotta fit in, dammit! :-)
All that refinement was motivated by having finally gotten with Antenna, and noting that the titles of my posts included a munging of a "#" level title of the index.gmi, plus content of a "##" the index.gmi also contained, which isn't what I intended. That had me working to better understand what seems to be referred to as "gmisub" format as input to Antenna... oh for the love of the yadda yadda yadda of it all, right? :-)
Here be the new "oldernow" top-level for anyone arguably sadly attracted to personal "TMI"...:
