I'm thrilled that the zuchinni plants in our garden are finally starting to produce! The resulting squash is so tender and delicious, and goes straight from the plant to my oven in seconds. It even takes less time to cook as it's already been warmed by the sun all day!
The potatoes are starting to be ready for harvest as well, I've already taken one bucket of them in and there are 3 more out there waiting in the garden. They're so clean and beautiful compared to what's available at the store, and so easy to grow as well! I definitely recommend potatoes for any beginning gardener.

@ruby_witch get a cheap grow box from amazon, not the biggest afford at all, but goood for starting. Even the freshest shrooms from the market do not taste so delicious. · 1 year ago
@bavarianbarbarian Growing mushrooms has always sounded interesting to me, but don't they prefer to grow in the dark? I'd need some sort of closet that I don't mind being moist and smelling of fungus...wouldn't I? It's something I'd love to try though! · 1 year ago
I'm a gardener too, and yes, you can't compare that stuff with things from the store. You should try zuccini sliced with garlic, olive oil and a touch of chili, fry it slowly in a pan and then add salt/pepper, delicious af. Or try to grow mushrooms, with some eggs from free running chickens, fresh gathered this is the sh*t. · 1 year ago
