Today I end up having to break off work early because I basically have no ability to think productively. I can't even do things that were pretty easy two weeks ago. Something has tripped inside my head I don't know what.

@p13 I took an extended weekend this time from last Saturday to this Wednesday (coïnciding with mid-Autumn festival.) I'm learning to try and switch off but it's not easy... · 2 years ago
Sounds like a burnout to me.
Best advice i can give you (works for me) is to take a break before it gets bad. Take your time, and try to get out of your routine for a while. Go for walks, go for a drink, meet up with some friends, etc. It takes a while (usually a week or two for me) to snap out of it. Best thing to do (for me) is to take a vaction and leave your familiar environment behind for a while, but with the current pandemic situation, this might not be that adviseable (or easy).
TL;DR: Your brain is tired, take a break, don't ignore it to the point where it gets really bad. · 2 years ago
@lykso - yeah, that seems very much like it. I don't know what to do with it really, other than just breaking off after a while.
@kevinsan - It's almost the opposite: rushing ahead and just "doing" things without thinking too much. · 2 years ago
Sounds like burnout. I seem to always hit that point myself. · 2 years ago

Keep water beside you and sip regularly. Write a handful of objectives, and pick the simplest. Maybe you're over-thinking and under-doing? · 2 years ago
