I think any digital currency needs to be easily exchangable. Which if you need a $800 iPhone to pay in that currency, that kind of defeats the point.

I think there was an honest attempt to have little plastic cards that could pay in crypto, much like credit cards. However, the story of how we got the networks like Visa and MasterCard are long, but in short it wasn't easy, even for a massive bank.

So I think this would be the first hurdle for any PURE digital currency. It would need to be next to everywhere to be ussful. · 9 months ago
