AuraGem Music Public Radio Stations

AuraGem Music's Public Radio now has multiple stations! There are 4 different stations: Diverse, Mainstream, Classical, and Non-mainstream.

Diverse will play all of the genres at specific time slots.

Mainstream will play mainstream genres, like Pop, Rock, Acoustic, Cinematic, and World.

Classical will play Classical as well as Classical-adjacent genres like Jazz, Blues, and Calm Piano.

Non-mainstream will play Electronic, Lofi, Ambient, and Rock.

These classifications could change in the future. If you have any suggestions on where you think a particular genre should belong, I'm happy to hear!

Schedules have not been filled out yet for the mainstream, classical, and non-mainstream stations. I will be working on that soon.

@LittlePrince Right now it seems the bottleneck is Windows' max concurrent connections, although it's not exactly clear if that limit is for any application or just Windows Services (like IIS, etc.), or just a licensing issue. Anyways, I will be moving off of Windows *very soon* (maybe even today if I'm feeling up for it).

Otherwise, my internet has about 6 Mbps upload. For the CPU, the server mainly just opens a file and sends that file over the network at its specific bitrate, so I don't expect that to use too much CPU, but I will have to see how high the CPU goes up once I've switched to Linux. I stream directly from the HDD rather than store each music file in memory, so memory problems shouldn't be too big, especially since the PC has 8 GB of memory.
