i highly recommend susanne clarke's piranesi. this illustration is so striking and it captures the tone of the book very well. the pitch black, the cut off statues.
(as an aside, when i read piranesi i already had drawing ideas before five pages had passed. i did paint a statue, an old woman holding a beehive, but didn't like it much and wound up painting over it when i needed a canvas but didn't have time to buy one. anyway my mom loved that painting and is still bummed i covered it up)

different to the usual, this is a short little demo. it's super cool. the lack of information is delightfully dreadful. the presentation is super unique (the ui is definitely gorgeous), and suits this kind of horror very well!
i didn't really think about it when starting this little artshare, but i'll be putting indie games here for sure. will likely keep to free titles on itch.io. of course, these are more likely to be older than the actual week i'm posting, but that doesn't matter much (i consider the time i encounter a piece, rather than when it was posted). also, all games i play go to the monthly artlog on my website, so i reckon this might become a little redundant. we'll see!

actually, let's do just one more game. i've been playing / reading a lot of visual novels. the art direction in this one is beautiful. love the setting, found it reminiscent of the manga claymore. and trans monstrosity is always a good theme on my book. stories about people treated as disposable by their very creators who then embrace monstrosity... idk man feels cathartic.
