While I think something like that would be cool to see (and at least asa starting point it would be nice to have an archive in thegemini-space, I'd love that), I'm not terribly convinced it may be agood idea.

Emails were here for a long time, and lots of tooling already exists. Idoubt we, as a community, we'll be able to build in a decent amount oftime an environment where everyone can host a personal "gemBB" server,send messages to a list, receive (which includes filtering amongstvarious other things) and forward messages.

(part of why "email is hard" is to try to guarantee a certain level ofquality in a decentralised environment where everyone can set up its ownsmtp server)

Just my thoughts of course :)
