It feels to me like there's something about web scraping that's incredibly magical.
You have this enormous collection of stuff made by people, all linked together through a common protocol. What sort of things could we learn from that?
An area in particular that I'd like to explore is scraping as a way of learning about the way pages are designed. What does most of the internet look like? What does it feel like? What are its characteristics, common experiences?
