Bangawhat?

One year it was coming up to Christmas. We usually went out for a developers' Christmas lunch, but no one had mentioned it this year. So I asked about it, which was a mistake because it meant that I was left to organise it.

The tradition was that the Christmas lunch was a curry. But I'd had enough of the usual curry house. The food was basic slop. They were happy to accommodate a group of us because no one else went there. Time for a change. A new place had opened, Bangalore Express, and it looked promising. Now, what's the phone number?

I started typing into a web search engine: B, A, N, G, A...

...and I noticed that the search suggestions included "bangable dudes in history".

I didn't take the suggestion, so I can't tell you any long dead blokes you might fancy a shag with. But enough people had looked for that content for it to appear in the suggestions. I expect that they'd filtered out a lot of more... "basic" searches that began with those letters. So I quite enjoyed the cheeky way that one had sneaked past the filtering.

I found the restaurant phone number and called for a table. The food was good. The restaurant was gone within a couple of years though. I wouldn't suggest to anybody that they open a restaurant in London.

Addendum

After writing this down, my curiosity was piqued. It turns out that there's a blog called Bangable Dudes in History. It describes briefly the attractive features of historical figues, with a photo and, er, a pie chart? Some of the dudes are women. It's not directly sexual, except that... it is. And it's still up even though the last post was in 2013. When I was trying to make the table booking, it had already been dormant for two or three years.
