Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is thrilled to announce an upcoming
performance by Scottish/Canadian folk and Americana songwriter Sarah
Jane Scouten.
Sarah Jane will be supported by Benjamin Amos for what promises to be a
fantastic night of music, taking place on Thursday, November 16.
Celebrated for her soul-stirring music which draws inspiration from
iconic 60s and 70s country legends like Willie Nelson, John Prine, and
Bobby Gentry.
Sarah Jane’s compositions seamlessly blend British folk revival
influences with the richness of bluegrass and old-time melodies,
creating a captivating musical journey.
Scouten is set to release her fifth album, "Turned to Gold" (Light
Organ Records) this Autumn, and audience are set for an unforgettable
night of heartfelt melodies and poetic lyricism.
Joining Scouten on stage will be the immensely talented Benjamin Amos,
hailing from the picturesque north coast of Ireland. Amos made waves
with his debut solo release, "Letters," last year, earning critical
acclaim and substantial airplay across BBC radio stations.
His track 'Romario' was handpicked by Tom Robinson as the BBC
Introducing Mixtape track of the week, and he was also listed as one of
HotPress' 'Hot for 2023' artists. Amos's performance promises to be a
captivating experience for the audience.
