Replying on Gemini is indeed a dark art, but one that I'm glad to see pursued. This was an article that I especially didn't expect to see replied to!
Ploum recommends "Melmoth the Wanderer", by Charles R. Maturin. It so happens that Melmoth was one of the books I was considering for this year's read. So it stands a good chance of being my choice for next year!
