Being evicted: The system of capitalism as it exists today is such a wonderful system that hardworking men and women around the world can live under the barrel of eviction for any reason if they dare to even so much as think of the possibility of renting, or, having some type of place to live what so ever. Things totally out of your control can lead to you being out on your ass. Fuck yeah. Merica.

states do have laws against this. in Europe most renters have more rights than landlords. that aside capitalism and social aspects of housing politics have almost no connection. social aspects are traditionally leftern politics, I get it, but in Europe you do have a strong capitalism and still a lot of security in the housing market · 2 years ago

If you live in the US, there are laws preventing people from just randomely evicting you for no reason, or for various other reasons. So, if this happened to you, you should try to find or get a lawyer. Additionally, in many places, the CDC ban on evictions has been extended until June 30th, so if you are in one of these places where this applies, and they are evicting you before June 30th, then that is illegal, afaik. · 2 years ago
