What do you consider the most technically (graphics, sound, content) impressive GB/GBC/GBA games? As a kid, I was always impressed by the ā3dā graphics of Driver 2 on GBA. And recently I saw the incredible tomb raider port for GBA.

Super Monkey Ball Jr. was always impressive to me, especially how the game mimicks the finesse of analog controls by using the A and B buttons to vary the character's roll speed.
I'd have to think a bit for GBA, but for Gameboy I'd have to go with Pokemon Crystal, because while it looks a lot like first gen Pokemon on the surface, it's absolutely mind boggling how much game they crammed into a Gameboy cart compared to other games on the console, and Crystal is of course the fanciest version of that gen.
I find Mario Golf and Mobile Golf (the Japan only sequel) for GBC very impressive. The graphics and physics and everything are very good and satisfying to play. Mobile Golf also has a ton of awesome minigames and challenges that are great.
As a fan of sports, I considered the pseudo 3D from FIFA (GBA) as something amazing for that age. Also Tony Hawk games (GBA) where fun, with pretty decent graphics, and more engaging than the PC releases. Mario Tennis (GBC, GBA) was 2D, but the story mode, deep gameplay and nice graphics wer eamazing. I'm also bit fan of Minish Cap art.
star ocean: blue sphere has very nice graphics and sound. it looks too good for a gbc game.
