I finally got around to checking out the fediverse. I think I actually prefer it here - the small size of this capsule prevents me from getting too hyperfocused, which is something I struggle with with social media. I think I can have a healthy relationship with it so long as I set boundaries with myself, though! I'm definitely going to try to be more active here and my gemlog, though.

I like most of the folks on the merveilles.town server, and I'm on a small instance myself. The experience does seem to become more usual the more big instances you get in the mix, so I tend to avoid these. · 3 months ago

I can relate. I prefer it here too even though the fediverse can be fun. The fediverse just takes a lot more effort to enjoy and I don't think I'd be able to use it without all the filters I've set up. Boundaries are a good idea. · 3 months ago
