I don't understand why GitLab forced me to make a group and project to sign up, especially since the project it forced me to make couldn't be a personal project.

I think I have signed up without creating anything
actually i first signed up to see a repository that I thought was limited but it turned out it was non-existent (at that point i had nothing stored at all)
