I recently had a crazy idea: collect a bunch of money, buy a horse, build a wooden caravan inspired by the Romani traditions, and go off to see the world. I'd use Solar panels to charge batteries for a laptop and mobile phone, but that's about it. What wise advice to the strangers from the gemini-flavoured interwebs have?

@kocka_collector No offense taken :) It was just some other "off-the-grid" experience pretty well documented, I haven't even looked at their political stance :) · 2 years ago

@mntn well, it didn't *explicitly* condone violence, but it does explicitly recommend "sllightly" destabilising governments. Also, outside of cities, over here where I live horse-drawn carts are pretty common. I would need to look into the actual laws, but it shouldn't be unfeasable. · 2 years ago

Regardless, your idea sounds fun, although I'd be worried about how well drivers would share the road. Sailing grants a similar freedom without the constraints of roadways and property lines. · 2 years ago

Re: walkaway wiki, did we read the same thing? In the context of the piece, I don't see the "wreak havoc" heading as a call to violence at all. · 2 years ago

@mc It rings a bell, I'll see if I can find it. · 2 years ago

@pkr again, I appologise, and mean no offense to anyone. · 2 years ago

@prk sorry, but while that site has a few good ideas, I find it hard to take seriously, as the manifesto complains about anarchists being seen as violent about two paragraphs before recommending, and I quote "wreaking havoc". The hardware and software ideas are great, but I don't think I'm going to be taking life advice from someone who seems to think terrorism "within reason" is a good way to achieve a peacful society. · 2 years ago

You should read Five Have a Wonderful Time, by Enid Blyton. LOL https://www.fictiondb.com/title/five-have-a-wonderful-time~enid-blyton~307939.htm · 2 years ago
