"Easy content monetisation through NFTs" is a red flag for me. Anything to do with NFTs is a hard no, but I also feel like people have forgotten that there used to be reasons to do things online that didn't amount to "monetizing content." I get that things cost money and people gotta eat, but it doesn't seem like its for me. · 5 months ago

I also don't like the line "we make money WITH you, not from you" · 5 months ago

I agree. I was looking for the interface on Gemini to interact with it but it's read only. someone put a lot of effort to make this Gemini compliant and Gemini was even step 1 of their roadmap but I don't know why. · 5 months ago

So it’s pleroma/mastodon with NFT tokenized posts where you can roleplay as a fictional character? I’m not all that convinced. It seems like a needless overcomplication of a pretty simple idea, that is, a text-based Habbo Hotel (oh, with blockchain too for some reason). · 5 months ago

Anything with blockchain baked in is an impossibly tough sell to me. · 5 months ago

uh, I thought NFTs (and generally blockchain) were basically dead. Sequel seems like an extremely complicated project that uses a technology most despise (with or without a reason), on a platform that prefers simple stuff, and that doesn't really explain what problem is trying to solve. Maybe I'm not getting something, but that's a project I really don't understand. · 5 months ago
