There is soo much I want to write about, but I can't write them until I finish the writing assignments I don't want to write about. 😾

I now have a hand-bound book of some technical documentation.

Since I was having a hard time reading the documentation, I figured that I might have a better time if I print it out. It’s quite a bit of pages, so maybe I could print it on A3 paper and have the finisher fold and staple it into a booklet to save paper. I couldn’t figure out how to work the finisher and I don’t want to have loose paper, so I printed the paper and bound it into a book myself.

I'm learning about CANopen and for some reason, it is just so difficult to understand what's going on with the object dictionary. I find it to be almost more difficult to read than the AES spec

I am very interested in learning Zig for embedded development. Does anyone have any experience on this and have some tips? I've discovered MicroZig so it's definitely possible, but I imagine that it won't be too easy to get up and running.

I just had an idea for a forum type thing that could be hosted on gemini. The big problem to solve would be how do I post content? input requests are very limiting, but works.

Instead, you could integrate email into the gemapp.

This could be done with sendto links where you click say a reply link, it opens your email to send a message to my@app.net with the subject 're:<post-id>'. When the message is sent, a new reply would be added to that post.

This feels similar to a mailling list, but not quite the same. There are probably plenty of reasons why this wouldn't work, but I would test it out if I didn't have so many other things I'm working on already.

I got to go to to Zions last weekend, and it was quite fun. Took a few photos with my dad's old Canon AE-1 that I think turned out great!

Why is it that most of the projects I do is redundant where I would be better off using something else that a creator has already put so much time and effort into. So much of my time has been wasted from me being to stubborn to even look to see if the things I'm creating has already been done before.

Recently, I have been fascinated by libuv (the library that makes Node cross-platform and asynchronous).

I've been so interested in it, that I have made the possibly poor decision to make a Cpp wrapper for it to help me with future projects. Right now I'm working on a std style asynchronous stream base class, and oh boy is it not like anything I've ever worked on!

I’m appreciating all the work that has been put into the std library, and can understand some of their choices behind the confusing thing that is std::basic_streambuf

I wonder what the possibilities are for managing certificates in a system like this? You could have a password system to allow logging in from anywhere, but that has its own problems. Maybe, have a system for adding new certificates to your account? Something like a button "log in with another certificate" then verify that the certificate is really you.
