A Derry man has been returned for trial on a series of terrorism
charges.

Kieran McCool (55) of Ballymagowan Gardens in Derry appeared at a
preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.
He faces a total of 8 charges including the preparation of terrorist
acts on dates between January 1, 2016 and January 1, 2022.
McCool also faced seven counts of possessing articles for use in
terrorism on various dates between December 31, 2016 and May 13, 2021.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary
submissions.
McCool did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this
stage.
He was returned for trial to the Crown Court on a date and venue to be
fixed and released on bail.
