The other day just before we left to take Moab to school, there was a perfect storm of cat startling. The girls were shouting and pounding on the counter, Jena grabbed a bunch of crinkly plastic bags, and Moab moved her foot (that was near the cats).
Next thing I know it's cat-pandemonium. Screeching, hissing, fur flying...the cats we have are from the same litter, so they've had little encounters, but nothing like a real fight. This was the real deal, and scary to see. I followed them into the other room and caught one in a blanket. Apparently I caught the victim (Baron), while Jena cornered the aggressor (Gigi). It was ugly.
It's been 3 days and Gigi is still freaked out. Half the time Baron comes around, she hisses and growls. Jena can hiss at her and make her tail poof right up (Moab says she looks like a skunk).
Hopefully, Gigi will get over her issues and go back to being our mellow fat-cat.
