While perusing my news aggregator my attention was drawn to a new website called Save the Words[1].
The idea is there there a whole ton of rarely used English words listed here, and you can "adopt" a word to save it from extinction. By adopting a word, you pledge to use it as often as possible in your conversation and communication. :^) An interesting idea.
I like "riviation"...it means fishing. I haven't adopted it yet, though. I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of commitment.
