Aren't you afraid of evil bots scrapping Station to feed their chatbots? :D · 2 months ago

@smokey They've been running off of the Techbro finiance system. SVB wasn't the catalyst, but it sure was the herald to the wider audience something already known by a few in the tech industry. The free flowing cash party was over.

You've got a lot social media companies that were being floated on VC that now they've got to start swimming on their own and well… what we're seeing is who is struggling to tread water and who's got the ability to keep afloat.

So it's not a coincedence they're all seemingly burning to the ground at the same time. They were staying in business off of free cash that's disappeared. · 2 months ago

Oh is that what’s been happening on Twitter‽ I was wondering what that ‘rate-limit’ thing meant. It took me about 15-30 minutes to hit that. · 2 months ago

man all the social media companies are burning down all at once, huh? guess the bubble has popped and the investors are demanding their profits *now*. 'free users must now view 10 30-second adds in a row to see this tweet unless you sign up for twitter premium. · 2 months ago

Thansk Martin. It would have been a real problem if we were rate-limited to reading 600 posts per day on Station. :) · 2 months ago
