I added spartan over UDP in my spartserv repo at gemini://gmi.noulin.net/gitRepositories/spartserv/log.gmi
Try it like this:
./spartclientudp gmi.noulin.net 3000 /

The client works on mobile networks, it is surprising because most mobile networks have cgnat. I tried on my iPhone in iSH (alpine linux) connected to Telia 4G network. The client is on my capsule: gemget gemini://gmi.noulin.net/spartclientudp.c and compile with gcc spartclientclientudp.c -o spartclientudp · 2 months ago
Yes, I''m experimenting. UDP is simple and any computer connected to the internet is able to run this. For request-response transactions (open-close connection), UDP is 50x faster then TCP and probably 100x faster than TCP+TLS. · 2 months ago
love seeing more spartan implementations! thank you! · 2 months ago
How come? Just experimenting? · 2 months ago
