There are various ways of converting between the different legal forms.

In the PDF linked above, solid lines indicate that there is a statutory process for converting an organisation between two different legal forms. That is, the entity will undergo changes to its name and constitution, but will still own the same assets and be bound by the same contracts as before conversion. Dashed lines, in contrast, indicate informal conversion routes: the original body would arrange to create a new entity and then transfer its assets and contracts to that new body, then dissolve itself.
