i went to ikea yesterday with my partner and my sister asked if i could buy her a stuffie so i picked out this panda guy but while we were walking around with it in my arms i got attached to it so they're mine now and their name is sock (they/them (they're non binary))

ive been listening to some cool music recently, im going to talk about it

faries in our house - s/t

short but very pleasent. slow and quiet with a nice smattering of variety. similar to a country western if you are familiar. its initmate and sometimes catchy like bedroom pop and sometimes somber but always melancholy. check it out

memory card - s/t

reccomended by faries and also by my close friends, the lyrics remind me a lot of the things i would write when i was 16, except much more self aware and better than most things i ever wrote. the production/songwriting isn't anything super unique but its special and creative and has its own twist, a lot of care went into this release. if you like acousticy bedroom pop peep

melania kol - bird kill worm

i wasn't sold at first but after listening to it a bunch more i like it. very alex g worshipy but like if alex g went into the woods and ate dirt while recording race. and also didn't feel like recording drums on half the songs. my favourite songs are the ones with drums. i understand this release is from 2018 and probably isn't indicative of where they are now as an artist but it's the only album by them i've heard. its pretty solid i like a lot of songs on it, they got stuck in my head. listen if it sounds cool idk

horse jumper of love - a natural part

i saw horse jumper live at the baby g a couple weeks ago. they are very good live. i wasn't tottally sold on this album, and im still not, but i appreciate the songs more now after giving it more time and hearing the songs live. i think i still like their older stuff a lot more but this release has a place in their discog. listen if you've already heard their other stuff and like, if not listen to s/t
