Finished "Cruel Future: A Dark Web Detective Story" last night; it was a good read. Like Tau Zero, not amazing, but still worth reading. I kind of saw the plot twist at the end coming, but mostly because I knew about Chekov's gun.
There's been a corner (back wall really) in my living room that's been piled with stuff for a while - camping and outdoors stuff mostly. I finally got that cleaned out, which feels pretty good. Lots of other crap to get rid of but I have to wait until after the next trash/recycling pickup day (Friday).
Got some floppy disks in the mail that were supposed to have software for the Kaypro, but they were blank. Looks like they're formatted for a different CP/M system, maybe. Still no sign of the RC2014, sadly, but I got my microdot pHats. I think I'm going to use them for a PHT (pressure, humidity, temperature) system. I'd wanted to use an Arduino, but I have to see if I can dig up a display first and there may not be one around here. For now I'm tinkering around with writing a serial-based sensor that will write PHT data to an SD card; it's relatively straightforward, mostly remembering which libraries to use.
