So this is, uh, the "highlight reel" of the 13 part Flash Gordon serial. I guess it would make more sense if you'd seen the serial (which I haven't yet) or if you were familiar with the original comic story (which I am), but it seems like a cobbled together mess otherwise. Maybe it's good if you want to remind yourself of the overarching story, but I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. Probably just best to watch the serial instead.
