There's no real reason to recap the plot of this. Just imagine all of the Garfield characters as superheroes, and imagine what would happen if an evil Liz from inside a comic book had a zombifying-transmogrifying gun and was threatening Comic World with it. The movie you imagined is probably better than this one.
It has some of the charms of the previous two direct to DVD Garfield movies, but a stupid plot that goes on for way longer than it should. I stopped caring what happened about halfway through and just wanted it to be over. It's probably a fun diversion for young children, but they'd be better served by watching one of the other two over again.
