There is no guarantee of continuation or continuity of this service, which is administered entirely on a voluntary basis by an individual.
The service being provided free of charge, no support is provided by the server administrator. To get help, the local.gegeweb.support group is freely accessible to allow users of the service to help each other.
This service distributes without access restriction the grisbi.* hierarchy [1] whose groups are news to mail gateways for the mailing lists of the Grisbi accounting software [2].
It also distributes in read/write mode (in addition to the grisbi.* hierarchy) the groups of the orange.* hierarchy to Orange customers (users whose IP belongs to the domain abo.wanadoo.fr or abo.orange.fr) as well as the alt.wanadoo.forum group originally intended to host the discussions of Orange customers (former Wanadoo) during failures of the news server of this ISP.
And finally distributes in reading and writing the local groups local.* as well as fr.*, france.*, hamster.*, alt.e-smith.*, alt.wanadoo.*, gnu.*, and the big8 (without binaries) subject to opening an account on the server.
To request an account opening, contact the newsmaster [3] with a brief explanation of the reasons for the access request. And if possible your real identity (I like to know who I'm dealing with).
No personal data is kept. Only the login and password (encrypted) are kept to allow authentication on the server.
You agree to respect the rules in use on Usenet and distributed groups and respect the charters. You will not use this service to send spam, MMF, articles with illegal content and other undesirable on the Usenet network.
Following the announcement <news:slrnki4cjc.ces.ducrot@bducrot.vbur.b1.p.fti.net> published on fr.usenet.distribution on February 10, 2013, announcing the closure of the server news.orange.fr and thus the disappearance of the orange.* hierarchy. My first server existed historically to allow subscribers of this ISP wishing to access this hierarchy from another connection, I decided to keep it (perhaps not in its entirety). It is accessible (without accessing the other groups distributed on the server) with the Orange (login) and Wanadoo (password) identifiers. If I find repeated abuses from this access I will block the incriminated IPs and close this access mode.
We reserve the right not to follow up on requests to open an account without providing explanations or the reason for the refusal.
We reserve the right to block, refuse or suspend access to this service without notice or explanation.
Any abuse of this service will be sanctioned by closing the access account.
Abuse must be reported to abuse@niel.me [4] and will in all cases be followed by a personalized response (there is a human behind this address) unless the message is filtered by anti-spam rules.
