Hi there, here is Stefano Maria Regattin with two

of his programs!

Some years ago I have made an improved italian

version of StartBar by Yannick Betémps named

StartBar-ITA.

This is StartWin, a totally new launch bar

inspired by StartBar-ITA created for my private

use starting from zero by Blitz Basic 2.1!

It seems that now it is almost stable, so I have

decided to share it with all you!

Give it a try, maybe on your classic Amiga system

it works fine (on mine not!).

To use it edit with a text editor the file named

StartWin.prefs and change it to your needs, I hope

it is easy to understand.

The maximum number of menu buttons allowed are 7

and the maximum number of program buttons allowed

are 41, but you can change these values up to 64

menu buttons and 128 program buttons using the

optional markers [MAXSTARTBUTTONS] and

[MAXPROGRAMBUTTONS].

After the path and name of a program you can

specify an optional stack number if this is

greater as standard, to check it select an icon

and choose Information from the Icon menu.

Now there is an improved version of StartWin

named StartWinAB3, use it if you find that the

previous one does not work properly and rename it

StartWin!

Now if the programs' window is greater than the

Workbench screen height, the programs' window

will be splitten in two to allow the whole

programs' window displacement.

The reason of this upload is the perfect opening of

the programs window at top or bottom of the bar also

halved.

Now StartWin can be placed at the top of the

Workbench, prevoius version did crash!

for an evaluation error the son bar did not

open on low height Workbench, now the problem

should be solved.

Now the programs' window does appear corretly at top

or at bottom and also halved!

I want to share with you the source codes as

plain text of these programs, I have enclosed

them into the archive!

I want to thank an users group that had

contacted me via e-mail, this new version is

devoted to them that had sent to te a Workbench

snapshot with my program!

Regattin con due dei suoi programmi!

Alcuni anni fa ho fatto una versione migliorata

in italiano di StartBar creata da Yannick Betémps

che ho chiamato StartBar-ITA.

Questa è StartWin, una barra di lancio veloce dei

programmi che ho creato per uso privato partendo

da zero con Blitz Basic 2.1!

Sembra che sia abbastanza stabile, così ho deciso

di condividerla con tutti voi!

Dategli un'occhiata, potebbe essere che sul

vostro Amiga classico funzioni bene (sul mio

no!).

Per usarla aprite con un'editore di testi il file

chiamato StartWin.prefs e cambiatelo secondo le

vostre esigenze, io spero che sia facile da

comprendere ma purtroppo i marcatori sono in

inglese.

Il primo marcatore è [STARTWINPREFERENCES] ed

identifica il file.

Al marcatore [COLOURMATCH] segue il valore in

percento della precisione della corrispondenza

dei colori per il pannello di chiusura.

Al marcatore [XPOS] segue la posizione della

barra in orizzontale, mentre al marcatore [YPOS]

segue la posizione della barra in verticale.

Ho impostato entrambi a 10000 perché così la

barra si troverà sembre in basso a destra,

comunque potete mettere i valori che preferite.

Al marcatore [BUTTONDATA] segue il nome del

bottone sulla barra seguito dal nome del bottone

del programma da lanciare, dal suo percorso con

il suo nome di dove si trova sul vostro Amiga e

poi da una lettera, E per Executable, cioé un

comune programma, R per ARexx, cioé una lista di

comandi per il programma ARexx che dovrebbe

essere lanciato all'avvio del vostro amiga ed

infine S per Script, cioé un testo contenente

comandi AmigaDOS.

Il massimo numero di bottoni menù permessi sono 7

ed il massimo numero di bottoni dei programmi

sono 41, ma potete cambiare questi valori fino ad

un massimo di 64 bottoni dei menù e 128 bottoni

dei programmi con i parametri opzionali

[MAXSTARTBUTTONS] e [MAXPROGRAMBUTTONS].

Dopo il percorso e nome di un programma potete

specificare un parametro numerico opzionale di

stack se questo è più grande dello standard, per

vederlo cliccate l'icona e selezionate

Informazioni dal menù Icona.

Ora c'è una versione migliorata di StartWin

chiamata StartWinAB3, usatela se quella

precedente non funziona appropriatamente e

rinominatela StartWin!

Ora se la finestra dei programmi è più grande del

l'altezza dello schermo del Workbench, la

finestra stessa verrà spezzata in due per

consentirne una corretta visualizzazione.

La ragione di questo caricamento è nella perfetta

apertura della finestra dei programmi sia sopra che

sotto la barra anche dimezzata.

Ora si può posizionare StartWin più in alto nel

Workbench, nelle versioni precedenti del

programma ciò la bloccava!

Per un'errore di valutazione la barra figlia

non si apriva su Workbench d'altezza ridotta,

ora il problema dovrebbe essere risolto.

Ora la finestra dei programmi si apre correttamente

sia sopra che sotto la barra ed anche dimezzata!

Voglio condividere con voi tutti i codici

sorgenti dei miei programmi, li ho inclusi nel

l'archivio!
