Not actually a limitation, it turns out

In response to my last post...

One limitation of posting on both the web and Gemini

I received an email, a mention on the Fediverse, AND a response here on Smol.Pub letting me know that I can actually just omit the protocol and begin the URL with // and it’ll do exactly what I want.

So, thanks a lot to JBanana, ew0k, and m150. I learned something new today.
