I have a somewhat modern machine dedicated to supporting my older machines. It is a quite upgraded Super-7 based board.
The purpose of this machine is to be a flexible IO hub, to allow data transfers between many old and new machines.
A primary purpose of this machine is to be able to work with floppies. I have more floppy notes over here:
Needham's EMP-20 EEPROM programmer
DTC 7287 RLL controller, for low-level formatting old hard drives and bringing them back to life.
TODO: Notes on getting an old RLL controller to play nicely with a more modern IDE system. Or only do this in a 286.
