All day, one bird! Somewhere just outside in the garden there's a blackbird[1]. He's been singing his heart out since breakfast time, sometimes from inside the bay tree in the back garden, sometimes from up in the pittosporum hedge on the fence line, the rest of the time perched high on the TV antenna on the neighbour's house. Calling calling calling. I guess there's a nest nearby but I haven't been able to find it this year, in the past they've been in the fence or the hedge, I suspect the neighbour's cat will have forced the blackbirds to be more careful this year
