Morning at home, a slightly unusual noise caught my attention and I looked out the kitchen window to the plum tree to see a Grey fantail[1] flitting back and forth where normally only the feral Common myna[2] congregate. Over the next half hour or so it kept popping in and out of the enormous dense bay laurel to the autumnally-bare branches of the plum tree and back, then finally disappeared. I've never seen one in the garden before, so that's a first.
