Hmm, one consequence: line width matters. Right now you can vary the page width and the drawing scales to always occupy that page width. But using characters for drawings as well will change how resize behaves. · 1 year ago

@akkartik Anything would work, as long as it's Unicode - all clients handle UTF-8 and 99.9% of user should have enough fonts to cover line/shape glyphs :) · 1 year ago

@dimkr Thanks, that's an interesting idea.

I just checked, and LÖVE's default ttf font doesn't seem to render Unicode box drawing characters. Let me dig some more.

I think this will constrain what can be drawn. Just horizontal and vertical lines? No circles, triangles, arbitrary polygons, etc. Does that seem ok to you? · 1 year ago
