Once again, completing very short games, because I've been super busy with some things lately.
I'm developing an Android app called *Mitch*, which is a mobile client for itch.io.
It started out as a toy project, but now it has a surprising amount of users. I say "surprising" because there really aren't many great Android games on itch.io. (or just in general, there aren't many good Android games anywhere... But at least the indie games on itch.io never have any ads or any Skinner box nonsense, unlike the cesspool of Google Play).
In the past, I've played a bunch of Android games from the itch.io Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, and made a list of some the best ones. I highly recommend that you check it out, the list includes games like *Super Hexagon* which work really, really well on a mobile device.
and made a list of some the best ones
And now, 10 months later, I've come back and played some other Android games from the Bundle!

Very atmospheric game with an amazing soundtrack. The problem is, it's a platformer, and it's pretty hard to play with on-screen controls. If I'd played it with a keyboard or with a controller, I'd probably give it a 7/10 or 8/10. *But the Android version only gets a 6/10 from me* because it just does not work well on a touchscreen. *Luckily, it's also available on Windows, Linux (and Ouya), and I can definitely recommend those versions of LOVE.* There is also a sequel which I haven't checked out, and even a third game is in development.

"The game starts simply: move left or right. But as you try -- and as you fail -- to move, you unlock more of the game's mechanisms. With each new element comes new challenges and more rewards!"
I thought it would be a clever puzzle game or something, but nope, *it's a clicker game. Very polished and very short but still very stupid. 5/10*

Move the brown snake to the exit. Very simple concept for a short puzzle game. The graphics are not very impressive and the difficulty curve is kinda all over the place: levels range from dead simple to soul-crushingly hard. But I've managed to beat the final level without using a walkthrough and I'm very proud of myself. *7/10, it's pretty satisfying and worth checking out.*

Boy, this is a long post. Please tell me if you enjoy this kind of blog, or if I should try to keep things shorter next time.
