Today is a holiday and it is day number 4 of a short vacation for me (staycation actually). Today I decided to spend some time improving my online privacy.
Task 1: LinkedIn
I removed all non-essential info from my profile. Don't want to just give away info for anyone to scrape to try to use for identity theft. Also disabled all ad personalization, activity notifications, disabled searching for me by email address (also no phone has ever been added) and only allowed 1st level contacts access to my info. I also replaced my photo with another one that has been filtered to look like a watercolor to remove distinctive features that AI can use.
Task 2: Virtual Machines
For the class I am taking I get a full VMWare Fusion Pro license to use for a year. I am setting up some VMs to use for web browsing. Today I completed an install of BlackArch Linux.
