The route for this year's Chieftain's Walk has been announced.
The route for the Chieftain’s Walk will begin at Free Derry Corner and
finish in the Brandywell, the Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation has
confirmed.
The walk will take place on Sunday, September 17 at 1.00pm.

A spokesperson for the Foundation commented: “We are delighted to
confirm that the 2023 Chieftain’s Walk will begin at Free Derry Corner
and finish in the car park beside the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
“This is an emotional route as it recalls places that were special to
Martin throughout his life, including his beloved Bogside and the Derry
Walls, a route he could often be found walking the family dog.
“Last year’s walk was a major success and saw visitors from across the
island and further afield come to the city to partake in the walk.
“Online registration is now open with all proceeds helping to support
the ongoing work of the Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation.
“People wishing to take part in the walk are encouraged to register
early and can do so by logging on to:
