---Remarkably, I managed to slumber through the most torrential downpour witnessed in half a millennium. The entire city has come to a standstill—a rather delightful turn of events. My morning was leisurely, spent in cooking a protracted breakfast, catching up on the news, enjoying a session in the sauna, and indulging in a brief siesta until approximately midday. Just last week, a typhoon led to a similar cessation of activities. I find myself increasingly fond of these truncated workweeks. Global warming is, somewhat ironically, becoming increasingly appealing to me.
