As much as I love Gemini, in it's current state, yes it is lacking. There is a lot of great information that is just only accessible over on the fat as hell web. There is also the fact that a lot of people haven't maintained their capsules over the past couple of years. I am definitely guilty of that so it's not liking I am taking shots here or anything.
The lack of how to guides, tutorials, wikis, etc is something that we can fix in a relatively short time though if we get together. The ironic thing being that there needs to be plenty of us working together to do this and there's not many of us using Gemini simply because of a lack of content. Obviously a lack of content is not really that big of a problem, as there is a metric butt ton of capsules to dive through. There just needs to be more educational content.
By the way, yes the irony isn't lost on me writing a 'blog post' on Gemini stating the reason Gemini is lacking is a majority of the content is like this. 😂 We do need a lot more informative, how to, and wiki resources. Hopefully once we get a lot more well known resources for learning we can make it to where everyone uses Gemini enough to stick around long term.
Really I just want to use Firefox as little as possible. I would much rather just have amfora running most of the time compared to Firefox. Especially when it comes to lower power machines the performance difference is insane - plain text is a lot easier apparently lol.
For me I am just going to stop here as I think where Gemini is lacking has nothing to do with Gemini itself. There you go that was the TLDR response. So before I go, thank you so much for reading! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
