Convincing oneself to leave one's country is hard, especially with wife and baby in tow. Leaving behind one's entire social support group and gambling on building a new one is daunting. But the mass shootings, theocrats, and white nationalists are all getting to be a bit much. Any advice for a guy considering leaving the PNW of the US for the PNW of Canada? Am I nuts for thinking that doing so might be wise?

@bencollver If it were just me, it'd be an easy decision. My mother in law just moved up here to be near the baby, though, and her son's going to be starting high school here this fall. I think I just feel guilty about how awkward the timing is/would be for them. · 1 year ago
Advice: Work on establishing rapport and trust with yourself so that you can become more self-aware, self-confident, and self-reliant. Then you can know better which options are right for you. · 1 year ago
