Additionally, it's often worth adding automation to digital second brains, and a parseable format like Norg maybe invaluable and have a high ceiling for that automation contrasted to Markdown.

Norg is a text format similar to Markdown. It is used in Neorg, a Neovim plugin which is useful for second brain stuff. I imagine it is similar to org mode but can't make any claims, not having used it before. · 5 days ago
